This lovely mosaic art box is covered in coral-red, turquoise-blue, aqua, gold and bronze beads, gems, glass, and mixed media treasures. The embellishments enshrine six French holy card images of St. Therese of Lisieux, known as the "Little Flower" for her love of nature. A childhood image of St. Therese is adorned on the spine of the box. There are four images of St. Therese as a Carmelite nun. Flowers and crosses are sprayed throughout the design. The box features a practical question posed to us by St. Therese that captures her simple spirituality: "How can I fear a God who is nothing but mercy and love?"

The box measures 12" by 8" by 3" and is lined. The inside of the box is also embellished and signed by the artist. The box could be a devotional chest holding a bible, prayer books, cards or mementos.

The box is created by Julie Wishmeyer, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Art Institute of Chicago. "I am fascinated with minute detail, daring expression and bold design. My functional art is an assemblage of treasures that truly transform the objects they adorn into something extraordinary."
